The Marker Duke PT 16 is the ultimate freeride touring binding for hardcore freestyle and freeride skiers recreating in the backcountry. If you can imagine combining the performance of a Jester with the uphill ease of a tech binding, then you can imagine the Duke PT 16.
Highlighting the innovative design of the Duke PT 16 is the Ride & Hike toe. All you need to do is unlock the upper part and tilt it forward, exposing the pin binding, to enable the walk mode. If you are really looking to watch your weight, the upper jaw can be removed and tucked away in your pack. The Lock & Walk system automatically locks the brakes to give a 10° climbing boost.
When you are ready to head downhill, simply click the front jaw back onto the base plate. The front jaw is quadruple secured with Auto Quad Lock technology to keep it locked into place, allowing you to use the toe piece as if it were a normal alpine binding. The Hollow Linkage 2 is the latest generation of lightweight heel pieces. With a low profile of 24mm high, direct power transmission is a breeze when moving edge-to-edge and the Sole.ID plate gives these bindings the compatibility to work with Alpine, GripWalk, or Touring boots.
When it comes to building a setup for taking on big mountain lines and sending massive features in the backcountry, the Duke PT 16 has got to be a favorite to land between your skis and boots.
