ATK Crest 8 Ski Mountaineering Bindings

ATK Crest 8 is an attachment for ski touring skis available in different sizes so as to be compatible with all types of skis.

Crest 8 has the same characteristics as its older brother Crest 10, therefore designed for touring skiing with excellent performance both downhill and uphill, but has slightly different DIN coefficients and is designed for lighter or novice people.

The Monolink Technology 1.0 system makes one of the two arms of the front attachment fixed so as to make it much safer and to save weight (the complete attack weighs only 280 g each!), While the Easy entry System has improved the geometry to allow easier and faster entry even for boots with worn outsoles.

To make the release system safe, then, two other technologies have been applied. The first, called Cam Release System, makes the release very precise to guarantee excellent descents. The second one is called Elastic Response System and consists of an elastic system applied to the heel: this makes the ski maintain its natural flexibility.

To facilitate the ascent phase, then, I have a Crest heel that can be adjusted to three different heights to your liking.

Finally, there is an adjustment sled integrated in the rear attachment to be compatible with other ski boots too without refitting the ski.
