Petzl I’D S Self-braking Descender With Anti-panic Function For Work At Height

The Petzl I’D S descender for work at height is multipurpose and designed to offer you a comfortable, safe and fast progression.

With I’D S you have the possibility to make descents but also short ascents on a rope or to secure a first rope, exploiting the cam.

I’D S accepts ropes with a diameter range from 10 to 11.5 mm and allows you to handle loads up to 250 kg. For large loads you can also add an additional brake to the descender to further control the descent.

The device connects it directly to the harness through the opening click positioned on the mobile flange. To insert the rope, simply open the mobile flange facing the operator.

In the rubbing zone you have a stainless steel reinforcement that increases wear resistance.

I’D S has an ergonomic handle that allows you to always have ample control of the descent, an integrated antipanic function that comes into action when for any reason you leave the handle, of an anti-error stop.

These three technical devices reduce the risks of a possible accident in the event of an error.

Petzl thinks of an Auto-lock system that allows you to easily place yourself in the workplace without having to make the stop key and use the handle.

When the user leaves the handle, the rope locks automatically.
